Fast Dry Stamp
Fast Dry Stamp: Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know
It depends on your surface and how fast you need it to dry: Noris #191: Best for general non-porous surfaces like plastic, metal, wood, and electronic parts. It dries in about 100–300 seconds. Noris #SM: Best for "difficult" surfaces like foil, leather, rubber, and ceramics. It is much faster, drying in just 11–70 seconds.
To use fast-drying ink with a traditional stamp, you must have three things: Noris Ink, Noris Solvent, and a Multipad. You cannot use a standard office ink pad as the material will not hold the ink correctly.
For self-inking stamps, you need Noris Ink, Noris Solvent, and a JustRite Pad. The JustRite pad is a specialized internal pad made of fabric cloth that is designed specifically for fast-drying formulas.
Because this ink is designed to dry rapidly, it will eventually dry up and harden on your ink pad. The Solvent is used to dissolve the dried ink, reactivating the pad so it can be used again without needing a replacement.
Fast-drying ink is solvent-based. Regular foam pads will either melt or clog up almost instantly. Our Multipad and JustRite Pad use a specialized fabric cloth material that is built to withstand the ink and provide a clean impression.
Noris #SM is a premium, high-performance ink. While it is more pricier than the #191, it is actually our most popular choice. Most customers prefer the #SM because its significantly faster drying time makes it much more efficient and reliable for a wider variety of surfaces.
Yes! These inks are the perfect solution for glossy brochures, flyers, or any coated paper where standard office ink usually smudges or wipes off.
To prevent the ink from drying out too quickly when not in use, we recommend removing the ink pad from the stamp and storing it in an airtight container or a sealed plastic bag.
